stories I heard
Friday, July 20, 2007
Ok 2 stories I wanna share and keep it til next time to remind myself.
1. Starfish
Once there's a boy walking by the beach. he happen to see thousands of starfish stranded on the sea shore, struggling to go back into the waters.
suddenly, he just came upon him to help these starfishes so he started throwing starfish into the water. one by one....
a life guard happen to pass by and asked him what he was doing.
He told me he wanna help these starfishes. the life guard thought it was hopeless because there were thousands of them! how is he suppose to help every starfish?
he then told this statement, "I may not be able to help every starfish but I make a difference to this one."
with saying that, he held the starfish and threw it into the sea water.
wow.... Rhonny told us this over tea break and I thought true.
it's not HOW MANY U CAN HELP but if ONE person can benefit, it make a DIFFERENCE TO HIS/HER LIFE.
interesting. now, who can I help? as long as it's not regarding money :) im broke!
----------
next story from paul. I thought this was really enlightening too.
he asked me if I know what is a pandora's box. He said it's like stepping into an unknown, uncertainty.
it has a story. wow!
once god (all religions) captured all the evil and bad and placed it into a box. he told pandora (dunno who)to keep an eye on it. because curiousity kills the cat, he opened it.
all the evil came out and they are some of those you see today.
except one....
HOPE.
it was thought that HOPE was EVIL. why?
no idea...
so do we all lack of HOPE?
i HOPE not.
I love stories!
:D

The god of voice and songs

23 years of singing.
now at the age of 46... meaning he's been singing HALF of his life now!
I finally got the tickets to watch his concert. Something I have been wanting to do since I was sec 2. No kidding!
I am not a hard core fan. I don't really know some of his songs. I don't know the lyrics too. but it's his VOICE i am fall in love with...
counted as a fan?
I suppose so if is $100+ for a concert tic and very last minute. lucky for us, we got a pretty good seating view! T13,row 14, seat 6,7 coincidentally, 13th is my birthday, 14th is kenneth's, 7th is our anniversary :) (trying to find some linkages)
Jacky Cheung, the god of songs.
amazing concert!
let me tell you why... He sang NON STOP! I'VE been to other concerts before like sammi cheng, sun yan zi, aaron kwok last time and all of them have a 20 min break for pee and food. Not only that, some have guest singers that take up 2 - 3 songs of their concert time. sometimes, they need to change costumes so adding extra time for dance or a music segment while fans cheer their lungs out to wait for their idol to come out.
but jacky cheung? at most, 5 - 10 min of waiting to see him back on stage. NO GUEST SINGERS, NO BREAK TIME. make my money worth it! :P
he is truly a great singer. his voice touched my heart... the slow songs he sang on every note made my heart sunk, made my eyes tear. I feel as if I can relate the feeling he placed on every of his songs and I wanna pen this down. one of his album called, "Life is a dream". the songs inside were written by him and gosh!
every song was meaningful dedicated to his little daughter and wife... so sweet!
Ok he can dance! I din know that god of voice can actually DANCE! at least he take the effort to make some moves..
his energy is bursting and overflowed all over the indoor stadium and we can all feel it.
best of all, I am happy to see the baby boomers and generation X jumping out of their seats to join in the fun as well. I don't see many of my age group (young ones) and I am not surprised. however, that didn't stop the audience screams, whistles, shouting, clapping and not forgetting the light sticks.
I love light sticks in concerts! keke ^.^
The carparks are full, traffic jams towards indoor, the queues were long and it takes 20 min to get into a cubicle to pee but it was all worth it!
it lasted from 8.15pm to 11.50pm
A WOW! NIGHT..
AMAZING.
