Yes I came back 1.5weeks ago and I have not updated this blog since.
simply because I was so busy with my club stuff
NTU Investment Interactive Club. visit us at http://www.ntu-iic.org It's like so much things to do that I can't breathe!
Ok exaggerated. But I have to stay at home to call sponsors and get product sponsorships. also doing up plan for recruitment fair and some miscellaneous stuffs.
any kind soul willing to give a hand?
I am also suffering from China fever! help.........
everything I do and see around, I juz can't keep my mouth shut comparing singapore with china.
LYNETTE, GET REAL! U r back in singapore, for god's sake!
But anyhow, here's my conclusion for THE SURVIVAL KIT FOR CHINA. 1. speak like a chinese. I mean a real CHINA chinese. roll your tongue if need be 2. shout if u want. becoz everyone does that. 3. spitting is everywhere. it's NORMAL. 4. act like a chinese. be less foreign and be treated like one. 5. smile NO matter what happens. I got scolded by chinese people many times becoz of the bargains and prices i asked for. who cares? I wanna get a gd bargain! be cool abt it 6. master ur bargaining skills. call the price by 1/5! dun get carrot! 7. LIARS are everywhere. they can tell u heaven and earth but it's all bullshit! 8. cover ur mouth. pollution is terrible there. so is the breath of chinese people. 9. pickpockets!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes. big alarm there. so play safe people and dun say u are not warned. 10. bring tissue paper all the time. toilets are disaster. tissues are NOT provided.
of coz, I enjoyed Beijing as well. Beijing is so different from Shanghai! very cultural and every part of beijing is different.
shanghai is like Singapore, high rise buildings and industralized. I prefer beijing because of it's rich culture and lotsa shopping! gosh! thanks to cheryl. I see more of beijing than 1 yr ago. her bunch of GIP mates are so nice too and I had a great time interacting with NTU GIP people mainly from Shanghai and also Beijing!
I am so thankful to crash course to 北京大学 with cheryl and gip mates and I heard it's the top university in China and top 10 in Asia. it's really big and the environment is superb!
I fell asleep in class! hee.. can't imagine them doing those reports in mandarin. gosh. it's really tough. the topic was the economy of china and I learned that during my summer program 'business management in china' except in bei da, it's conducted in mandarin.
I have so much to share abt china!
but anyhow, I have more work to get to now.
nevertheless, check out my flickr photos link from the side of my blog
