Today is the faithful day when I remember I was CHEATED of nearly $1200+!

ya I did not tell anyone but only my family would know about this.

it happened about 4 yrs back when I befriend a colleague, let's name her ms ungrateful.

I was only 19 and working as a program consultant then.

she was a senior and worked for 7 years more in the company.
at first, I felt unwelcome because we were both in sales, it's normal and it did not really bother me.

yeaps, I don't really care. that's my attitude until my boss paired me and her to be 'partners'. unfortunately, we got really close to that extent, she would buy me gifts out of the blue and tell me all her daily stuffs and happenings.

as u noe, I do not wish to offend her and yes, I treated her as a good soul mate because she was 26 and I must say, real street smart, eloquent and elegant too. she's good in sales too. strangers over the phone consulted her for the first time and close sales after sales (hey me too! after getting skills frm her.. hehe)

often, we go out during lunch times and occasionally she would tell her guy to send me home. she buy me nice stuffs like clothes, shoes, food to eat, plush toys, dvds and even brought me and gal frenz to HONGKONG FOC! Mind you, I did not ask for them and ultimately, I accepted with gratitude.

one fine day, she asked me if I can lend her any handphone line to use. coincidently and stupidly, I have a spare line unused and has a few more months before end of contract so I lend her (ya I am NICE!)

then what? she use until every month choke up to $150 at least. she always say she will pay but she never did.

at first she told me to do it 1st and she will clear it off. all LIES...

then one fine day, I got a $500+ bill. how did she even use?! she has some business in malaysia and goes in and out everyday. and she went shanghai and hongkong for holidays.

ok, this has been continuing for a few months with me clearing her stupid phone bills about $400+

I see into account that she was also nice to me. everyday I wanna bug her but we are both so busy with work and also hard to open my golden mouth.

both of us quitted the jobs because I wanted a change of environment. for her, I am not sure.

now, I know I gotta take back the money! I tried calling her, smsing her to no avail. she moved house and I don't know where to look for her. that time it was about $900+ owed. at 1st, she replied she paid and wil pay. liar! I checked and it's still there.

and then she will shun me no matter how hard I tried. I ask my other colleagues and they all just lost contact with her too.

My parents were furious! because I was so naive. the line belongs to my mum but my father helped to clear the debt and said this is one lesson to be learnt.

I was very agonized by this incident because not only I trusted this friend and got betrayed but got my parents into this big freaking mess because our house line got cut off and blacklisted by phone service provider. damn!

$1200+ - it's a lot. imagine what I can do with this money? my father was very kind not to pursue the matter and told me never ever to trust friends like that.

I was thinking back all the BULL SHIT CRAP TALK she was telling me abt how she got cheated by some friend who took her credit card and signed for many things and how her bf used her name in car loans and products. TOTAL SHIT CRAP!

because for your info, she left him for another F*cking rich guy who was only 19?

she want me to pity her and to think I even believe her and remembered her FREAKING BIRTHDAY - 22ND NOVEMBER! and she's 30 this year. to think that a 26 yr old can't even think compared to a 19 yr old.

may GOD BLESS HER. she needs it

and please people, for the love of urself, ur future and ur loved ones...DON'T BE GUARANTOR or lend money to people who MADE PROMISES AFTER PROMISES.

they are meant to be broken.

I shift my guard and put on wary sheets but not paranoid. never talk abt money with friends.
