our hotel neighbourhood which apparently is a high class street which lived the rich and important people like the bishops. I believe it's kensington st but I can't remember!
us in the london tube with jacky. heard london tube is very very old and indeed very noisy.
the ever famous big ben
westminister abbey
check out the london eye in the background
parliament house.
check out the nitty gritty structure of the skeleton. amazing!
U know how we used to sing, "London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down?" this is very true...
this is ACTUAL LONDON BRIDGE. indeed it fell down and now in Las Vegas this is the another structure to replace it. geez!
this is the london tower bridge or so we thot this is the ever famous london bridge we've been dreaming and singing for years!
the british museum.. heard alot of treasures around the world especially from egypt. geez missed it!
met up with jess and jacky. they made my travel more worthwhile and enriching! this restaurant is really interesting as they charge the bill the time u went to eat. so for e.g. u go there at 5.30pm, they will charge ur meal at that time until 7pm i think. I think it's cool!
picadilly circus, the place where musicals come ALIVE!
I almost went hysterical when I saw the list of musicals. as there were so many I wanted to watch!
sound of music, mama mia, chicago, les miserables, wicked, hairspray, grease, we will rock you and the list goes on...
i had only 2 nights!!! :( I WANTED TO WATCH all of them. no money, no time :(
After much deliberation and consideration, we went to leicester square and bought cheap tickets to Les Miserables!
Me and Jess sat next to each other on the circle seats on top. it was reasonably cheap like 25 pounds and it was at the side.
I mean what do u expect? it's really money and quality.
the story plot was great. I loved it. the singers were not bad but some rude people making stupid comments to the singers. disrespect! but it was still good :) though could be better.
On de last day, we went to Oxford st for shopping! Check out the london buses... we are in LONDON for sure :)
one of must go places will be harrods. so we been there done that, expensive brands and as poor students, we just glaze around then we know let's get out and spend more time else where. it was then I know that princess diana was with Dodi, the son of mohamed al fayed who owns Harrods and unfortunately died in the car crash.
there was a mini memorial in the ground floor with candles and offerings to both princess diana and dodi. how sad... :(
rushing against time, the guys were so excited to enter lillywhites which had reasonably cheap buys for guys. not that cheap in sg context but cheap in london. 2-30 pounds for shirts like nike, adidas, umbro, fila. i say it's ok.
I bought a few for father and kenneth. something interesting though, they had a window display with someone on the trackmill who is trying to break some record for running the longest time in a team work.
seriously, i wouldn't wanna be her. imagine the amt of people walking by to take a look at u like fishes in a fish tank. not forgetting it's london in oxford st... the amt of people.. uncountably crowded.
it was a good marketing tactic to capture attention but my heartfelt goes out to the team!
I told myself, I must at least buy something from topshop ( i mean it's made there! ) it's cheaper? maybe not really. but the RANGE AND VARIETIES can drive me crazy!
look at the amount of levels they have! in a building of top shop products. it's so advanced... they have style advisors for image (ok sg have too) nail bars as well blow dry bars even a concierge!
when does shopping gets so sophiscated?
in London, it is....
when I was at each level... the amount of clothes they have.. geez.. I think I need 1 hr to see finish the racks!
i really love London.
I missed Primark which I so hate!
I ran like crazy chasing after the bus to go to airport. It was then I told myself,
why pay so little to fly by ryanair.com and rush like a mad dog, wasting time with buses, transiting with buses and airports and trains back and forth.. when I can spend more time shopping in London.
SHIT!
